ORIGINAL WW2 GERMAN STEYR BARREL ASSEMBLY FOR MP38 OR MP40 MACHINE PISTOL. Serial number "1098X" and all matchign except front sight with Erma code "280" under Eagle. Rest of unit with Eagle over "623"(Steyr) codes. Original bakelite barrel protector with Material Proofing House symbol cast into it. Barrel threads crisp with two-piece collar still present. Six sided barrel nut. Late front sight with guard(for use with nvr used muzzle cover). Blank firing muzzle nut thread protector with some heavy rust build-up but threads under are perfect(will clean up better). NO damage to muzzle itself(just sleeve) with one groove. Bore is fair. Usually found without bakelite guard as easily broken.
