Description:
This Winchester Repeating Arms Co. rifle was manufactured in 1912. The .405 was Teddy Roosevelt's "Medicine Gun for Lions". This gun remains in overall very good condition. Wood is solid showing only normal handling marks for it's age. There is a hairline crack in the walnut forend from the sling swivel stud to the mounting screw. Original bluing remains very good with some light oxidation appearing on receiver and a couple spots of minor pitting on barrel. Bore is very good with rifling visible. Gun function is excellent. .405 Winchester
