Springfield US Model 1878 Cadet Trapdoor-made in 1885 when most of these Cadet rifles were sent either to West Point or the Indian Wars. Excellent condition for its age-complete with cleaning rod and bayonet. Sighted in to be dead on at 200 yards-shoots well. All original with no pitting or mechanical problems. The original Cadet rifles are getting hard to find. Open to some trades. Collectible or use as a shooter. Own a piece of History. Selling my lifetime collection.
