Description:
This is a very unusual Belgium Browning Pigeon Grade Superposed 12 bore. It’s got 26 3/8 inch barrels with a Broadway vent rib. The stock is a nicely figured Lightning style with factory buttplate. This is a 1963 vintage long tang gun. The forearm is the fuller target style, seen on trap guns of that era. The chokes are skeet—**s and improved modified *— and the mike at .005 and .032! This gun has excellent bores and mechanics. The blue is 95% and the wood is very nice with some scratches visible. It has the original Browning buttplate. Dimensions are 14 1/4 x 1 3/8 x 2 3/8 inches. It weighs 7 3/4 pounds and shoots very nicely. There is an initial shield in the stock which indicates the original owner was a physician. I contacted the Browning historian, but unfortunately the original invoice is missing. Clearly someone wanted something rather unique when they ordered this Superposed. I’ve used it at skeet and sporting clays and it works quite well. So, if you like and appreciate fine shotguns and want something a bit different, consider this one. You’ll be pleased.
