COLT U.S. 1911-A1 CAL. .45 ACP, SER. 1169229, MFG. 1943. THIS VET BRING BACK IS A REAL WARRIOR THAT HAS "BEEN THERE, DONE THAT". THE FACTORY FINISH IS JUST ABOUT 65-70%. THE LOSS IS MOSTLY FROM HOLSTER WEAR AND FADING. THE GRIP STRAPS DO SHOW SOME GRAYING. THE SLIDE HAS THE PROPER HEAT TREAT MARK ABOUT 2" FROM THE MUZZLE. THE TOP OF THE SLIDE AND THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FRAME HAVE A "P" PROOF ALONG WITH A "GHD" INSPECTOR'S STAMP. ALL PARTS ARE PROPER FOR THE MODEL. THE GRIPS AND GRIP SCREWS ARE PERFECT. THE FEED RAMP, SLIDE RAILS AND BOLT FACE SHOW LIGHT USE. THE BORE IS BRIGHT WITH VERY CRISP RIFLING AND SOME LIGHT SCATTERED FROST. THE BARREL IS ORIGINAL AND MARKED "COLT .45 AUTO". IT COMES WITH A PROPER "G' (GENERAL SHAVER) STAMPED MAG. THE GUN LOCKS UP TIGHT AND SEEMS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY.
