Description:
Colt Model 1860 Army revolver bearing the serial #128426 ,matching serial numbers on the frame, barrel, cylinder, trigger guard, back strap and arbor. Wedge is numbered "8258". It is in .44 caliber percussion. Pistol presents an 8" round barrel with a strongly rifled bore showing some pitting and is fit for shoulder stock. Top of barrel present one-line stamping"ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT, NEW YORK US AMERICA". with left side of frame stamped "COLTS/PATENT in two lines. The cylinder is stamped"COLTS PATENT No" followed by serial number and"PATENT SEPT 10th, 1850" and is engraved with a scene of a naval engagement. Serial numbers indicate that the pistol was manufactured in 1863. Right grip of the pistol exhibit light inspector's marks. Pistol exhibits a mostly blue to brown patina .
