Description:
Shilen has always been a respected name in the benchrest shooting community do to there most excellent barrels. They released a series of rifles based on a proprietary action of their own design, with a Shilen barrel. The DGA model (Darn Good Action) actions were made in both singleshot and repeater. This rifle is in Sporter configuration, with a repeater magazine incorporating an M-16 type extractor, a blind magazine and a 24" Shilen barrel. The wood on this rifle is exceptional! This rifle includes a Leupold base and Leupold 30mm medium rings and a Pachmayer Presentation Decelerator pad. A full length length of pull and a Jewell trigger. Sense this is an estate rifle I put the bore scope through it and the bore and throat are 100% perfect. I doubt that it has been fired more than 100 rounds. The metal condition is 100% other than these guns have a blued bolt and the bolt body itself naturally shows some blue wear. The bolt handle however shows zero blue wear. The magnificent wood and ebony tip on the rifle shows some light handling marks which were most likely done in a gun safe or other storage unit.
