*** SOLD *** A beautifully and faithfully restored Parker VH with 28” barrels and nicely figured straight grip stock and splinter forearm. Built on the No. 2 frame with Vulcan Steel barrels. Serial number 161695 has double triggers and extractors. Numbers match. Restored to new. 99%. Weight is 8lb 4oz. Built in Meridien in 1913 you imagine how it looked when its new owner picked it up at the local hardware store. *** The 28” Vulcan Steel barrels are topped by a raised solid rib and are chambered for 2-3/4" and 3" shotshells. The rib is striated to reduce glare and inscribed “-> Parker Brothers, Makers, Meridien, Conn. Vulcan Steel <- ” It has middle and front ivory beads. Choked Improved Cylinder and Modified. The bluing is in excellent condition and the bores are bright and shiny. *** The nicely figured straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made of American walnut. The checkering is crisp. Stock dimensions are 14-7/8” including a ¾” recoil pad by 1-1/2” by 2-1/2”. Neutral cast. Comes with original factory butt plate and screws. There are a few very minor handling marks on the stock. *** Parker doubles always conjure up images of a bygone era when there were birds aplenty. Take a beautifully restored classic afield and marvel how it inspires and helps you savor each outing. Very nice gun. A great price.
