Remington Keene Sporting 45-70 caliber rifle. Also referred to as “Frontier Rifle”. Barrel length is 24½” measured from the muzzle to bolt face in battery position. Existing literature does not list this barrel length but the barrel is uncut and unaltered. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Barrel and magazine tube have approximately 95% original blue. Stock is good plus, with minor handling and hunting dings. No cracks, no chips. Stock has approximately 90% original varnish. Good looking Keene in overall very good condition.
