Description:
This is a very early production model 1903 made by Rock Island Arsenal. The rifle is in excellent condition considering its' age, and has all original parts and condition, except for the hand guard, which is replacement. The wood stock is very nice with a faint remnant of the original inspector stamp on the left side. There is a small repaired area of wood about 2.5 inches long and located on the top of the butt-end of the stock. This is a minor repair and appears to be professionally done. The metal shows light patina throughout, but a remarkable amount of original finish in tact. The bore is about 7/10 with some normal/expected wear and signs of use. There's light patina throughout but strong rifling. Comes with an original leather sling in great condition as well.
