Description:
These were issued to the Berdan sharp shooters during the Civil War. They became famous through their marksmanship. A really fine gun. 3-band musket with double set triggers. This one is in the 55k serial range. Overall metal has turned a plum/brown patina. Good markings. Nice functioning action. Wood is in fine condition with just a few light handling mars. Correct patch box and original sling swivels. Bore would benefit from a good cleaning. This is a nice Berdan musket. These are quite desirable.
