Description:
The Smith & Wesson Highway Patrolman is a classic. Mechanically it is the same revolver as the Smith & Wesson flagship .357 magnum, the Model 27. The only difference is the finish and the Highway Patrolman lacks the checkered top strap and rib on the Model 27. It was designed and marketed as working gun for law enforcement with all the solid performance but in a slightly less flashy finish than the Model 27. This Model 28-2 features a pinned barrel, recessed cylinder and Pachmayr grips on Smith & Wesson large N-Frame. This revolver would make a fine addition to any collection. Manufactured circa 1978. .357 Magnum
