Description:
Parker VH 20 SxS shotgun made towards the end of WWI, sometime between 1917 & 1920.  This gun is built on the “O” frame with 26” barrels.  The right barrel has a .619” bore diameter with Cylinder choke and nominal wall thickness of .032”.  The left barrel has a .621” bore diameter with .018” choke (IM) and nominal wall thickness of .029”.  Standard bore diameter of a 20 gauge is .615” so both barrels have had the bores polished and the wall thicknesses of both barrels is well above minimums.  Chamber length is original 2 9/16”. Double triggers, extractors and automatic safety rounds out the mechanical features.

The pistol grip stock and forearm are original, and both have been professionally refinished and have had the checkering recut.  The stock has a 14 1/8” LOP to the Dogs Head Buttplate; 1 7/16” DAC and 2 5/8” DAH with ¼” right hand cast.

The frame has a trace of case colors but mostly faded to metal.  Same with trigger guard..almost no original blue.  The barrels were professionally re-blacked and still retain 98% of the new finish.  All screws and lettering are “sharp” and clear. Excellent wood to metal fit.

Mechanically this gun is tight, crisp/nice triggers and extremely solid…ready to take to the field this fall.  The gun weighs 5 lbs. 14 oz. and balances perfectly between the hands.
