Lefever with original Lefever Arms Monte Carlo stock, made for the gun at a time when the Monte Carlo parallel stock design was new on this side of the Atlantic (as shown by the vintage ad included in photos). Lefever's finest period of production, c. 1894. Late ejector system, Special Order, about E grade level, with double hook cocking system, feeding woodcock or snipe on left lockplate and pointer in grassy field on right, very fine engraving detail, 30”Damascus barrels, chambers: 2 5/8”, min. BWT: .030 right, .027 left, weight: 7 lbs. 1.5 oz., chokes: full & full, dimensions - LOP 14 ¼” X DAC 1 ¾” X 1 7/8” (at Monte Carlo) X 3” at heel. Shootable modern dimensions because of Monte Carlo parallel stock design. The last image shows period carriage trade advertising for this new Monte Carlo stock design at the time this Lefever was made.
