EARLY WW2 SPRINGFIELD U.S. M-1 OR M1 GARAND .30-06 RIFLE RECEIVER. CIRCA JAN. 1942. Serial number "473XX" with "U.S. Rifle/Cal. .30 M1/ Springfield Armory" address. Stripped of all it's parts but with exceptional barrel threads and knurling for battle sight. Never been cleaned so original parkerized finish and crisp address. No weld marks either so NOT a refurb dewat. Receiver leg marking with "C 1 1 A" and under that "D 28291-2" with "75" under barrel threads. No dings or battle damage so ready to have an early WW2 complete rifle built around it.
