BRITISH ENFIELD SMLE NO.4 MK. 1 / 2 .303 BRITISH BY ROF FAZAKERLEY (ROYAL ORDNANCE FACTORY-LIVERPOOL), CIRCA 1951. Serial number "X24795A" and all matching including stock. CAI import stamp at muzzle. Mint bore with crisp rifling. Tight lockup. British proof "broad arrow" stamp behind triggerguard along with "C". Stock never been sanded so original use wear. Receiver side stamped "No.4 Mk. 1 (with upgrade stamp after that- "/2 (F) FTR". "/51" (1951) followed by serial number. Made in Liverpool at the Fazakerley Royal Ordnance Factory in 1951. Correct sights, bands stamped "S76", brass buttplate with trapdoor, and period canvas/brass sling. Make a nice shooter or addition to Enfield collection. Original factory black enamel paint remaining. About the same period the British were also involved in the Korean War.
