PRE WW2 4 DIGIT S/N SPRINGFIELD U.S. M1 OR M-1 GARAND .30-06 RIFLE WITH GAS TRAP RECEIVER, CIRCA JAN. 1939. Rebuild of original gas trap 7,xxx serial range rifle using original replacement parts. Springfield Armory replacement barrel dated “S-A-5-51’. Bolt marked "D28287-12SA" with "D06(diamond)" under that. Trigger group stamped "D28290-12-SA". Excellent armory replacement stock, hand guard and forend with no markings. Extremely well done re-parkerize with all markings crisp with white grease paint in serial number digits. Early style trapdoor buttplate. Perfect working order and excellent bright bore. NO import marks. Really nice looking M-1 Garand with RARE pre-War receiver at it’s heart. Comes with period canvas USGI sling.
