New York Engraved Colt 1877 Lighting Sheriff’s Model .38 Colt caliber revolver. Made in 1883. Has a 3½” barrel in .38 Colt caliber. This gun is a Sheriff’s model, which means there is no ejector rod or housing. Comes with a factory letter which indicates it was shipped “soft” (ordered for the purpose of being engraved). What is interesting is the quality of the engraving is better than your standard Hartley and Graham engraved gun. This gun is in excellent condition with 97-98% original nickel. Trigger still has 50% fire blue. The grips are ivory. Very fine Hartley and Graham New York engraved Lightning.
