The Carbine's barrel is not dated. The serial number is 6202578. The 18 inch barrel is by Rock-Ola. The bore is in very fine condition with sharp lands. The sights are original to this gun. All of these parts are correct for the time frame and serial number range. This barrel at some time was fitted with a type 3 barrel band. I found the original type 2 barrel band that belongs on this gun. It is now back on. The low wood stock and hand guard is correctly marked for Rock-Ola. it has some of the late style stamped parts. The bolt is the round bolt style. All of the parts have the correct metal finish for this serial number range. This carbine shows very little use or wear. There is no cracks or wood damage to the stock or handguard. The wood also has no dents or blemishes. The original wood finish is intact. The magazine is correctly marked for Rock-Ola. This carbine would rate a 98% overall condition! This is a very rare carbine to find in original condition! Rock-Ola only produced around 3.7 percent of the carbines produced during the war. That was around 228500 firearms produced. This is a very fine original condition carbine that should please the serious collector. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
