This rifle was Produced in 1944. The serial number is 1195 ae. This Minty gun has the standard 24 inch barrel. The bore is in minty condition. This rifle is in all matched serial numbers including the handguard and firing pin. The barrel bands are also serial numbered. The bayonet lug is intact. This rifle's stock was not drilled or fitted for a cleaning rod. This gun was the start of the late war time produced rifles that had parts eliminated to speed up production. The stock disk was eliminated and the cupped butt plate was drilled with a hole to replace the disk hole to strip the bolt. The hand guard has the dot code on the top cover. The stock itself is not marked. The stock is in minty condition as well as the handguard. The cupped butt plate is also unmarked and is in the white. All of the correct parts have that deep blue finish. The rear sight is also serial numbered to this gun. The front sight still has the sight hood intact. This is a extremely fine condition dot coded collector grade K 98 German Military Rifle. It would be hard to find a better rifle from this time period and production run.
