Payment Types Accepted: Money Order, Certified Check Description: This is an early Shiloh Sharps Model 1863 Sporting Rifle made in Farmingdale, NY before the company was moved to Montana. It's .54 Caliber with a percussion ignition which means it fires paper cartridges so you get to roll your own ammunition like they did in the days of the early frontier before they had metallic cartridges. 30" Full Octagon Barrel with Adjustable Double Set Triggers. This rifle has been very well looked after and appears to have been fired very little. It's not quite brand new but it's pretty close to Mint given that it's between 30-45 years old. The walnut is straight-grained like the original Sharps. Action is color case hardened and the barrel is a matte blue. The only alteration to this rifle has been that the original rear sight was removed to clear the barrel plane for the addition of a long range vernier peep tang sight with adjustable windage. BTW, the rear sights are available for $65.00 on the Shiloh . Nice Sharps and because it's percussion, it's Antique so it can be shipped right to your door without an FFL. Even better, you won't have to spend 2 years of your life on Shiloh's long wait-list for a new one. SOLD Antique: Yes Manufacturer: Shiloh Model: 1863 |
