Description:
Early first variation pistol in excellent condition with 95% of the original high polish finish. No import markings, no pits, no rust. Light wear on grips, no chips no cracks. Perfect bright shiny bore with excellent rifling. The “3PUV288” stamp on the front strap indicates this pistol was the 288th one issued to the 3rd Tank Regiment (Pluk Utocne Vozby).
The vz 22 is the first Czeck made semi-auto military pistol. The rotating-barrel, locked-action design evolved from the Mauser Nickl prototype pistol designed by Josef Nickl. After approximately 20,000 vz 22 pistols were made before the design was simplified and became the vz 24.
I have not fired this gun but all aspects function normally when worked by hand.
