The highly respected and relatively rare Walther PP Super is an all-steel, blowback-operated, double action/single action pistol. Unlike the Walther PP, the PP Super features an external slide stop lever and a manual decocker (left of the slide). There is no manual safety, but the PP Super has a firing pin safety and was designed to be carried with the chamber loaded and hammer down. The PP Super came into existence in the early 1970s as a service handgun for West German Police.
The ammo for the PP Super is the 9x18 Ultra (aka 9x18 Police) cartridge based on pre-WWII 9x18 ammunition and developed in Germany by the Geco Ammunition Company and Walther. The 9x18 cartridge offers maximum power for compact, lightweight blowback pistols. Fiocchi manufactures 9x18 ammunition and it is generally available.
This PP Super was manufactured in West Germany in 1976 and was imported to the US by Interarms. It is in very good to excellent condition and retains most of the original finish with only a few minor signs of use. It has a bright, clean bore with strong, visible rifling. The action is smooth and crisp and the controls function perfectly. Included with the pistol are two original magazines; no box.
