CONDITION- Good- There are a number of small indentations and several worn (?) discolored areas all on one side possibly from military or hunting use. MADE OF - Natural Horn. SHAPE - curved horn. SOLD
# 36 $225- . DESIGN - An interesting line design probably pressed into a heated horn. SIZE - 8 1/4 curved X 2 1/2" at bottom. RILING FLASK BOOK REFERENCE - # 1173 page 401, as to the top. Also see # 1181 page 406 as to the top. Also see # 1331 page 417. CONDITION - EXCELLENT, no cracks, splits or dents.Top mechanism works fine.MADE OF - natural horn, with 2 rings SHAPE- Curved horn. SOLD
# 43 $250- DESIGN - a beautiful plain horn with natural markings and colors. SIZE - 10" curved X 3 1/4 " at bottom with Tassel carring cord. RILING FLASK BOOK REFERENCW- # 1162 page 400, #1168 page 401. For the plunger charger top see # 1428 page 420. CONDITION - EXCELLENT- a minor closed crack on one side at the bottom.. MADE OF - Natural horn and brass. SHAPE - Curved horn. Has 4 rings Reportedly made in 1723 acording to the Antique seller in Sweden who sold it.
