Description:
Although one of the very few available this 1911A1 has all the necessary ww2 and post ww2 parts yet only the slide can be assessed as a Union switch 1943 slide. Frame dates to a Remington Rand 1944 yet the traditional "No" prefix to the serial number along with the "US government" roll marks are absent. Main spring housing, hammer, trigger and barrel bushing are accurate to the 1944 specifications the barrel markings show a springfield assembly marks with post was hood markings, quite possibly a 1949.
Overall condition is 90% with noted punch marks along side of rear sight. Ramp is also consistant with Remington's ramp machineing practices after the parkerizing was applied. Overall a fully functioning and good condition 1911.
