Belgian .44 Cal W.C.F Top Strap Marked Frontier Army. .44 W.C.F top barrel flat marked “ Belgium”. Revolver has Belgian Liege proof marks. The grips are most unusual as they are intricately molded with floral Motifs and a winged cherub with a lance fighting a serpent representing the opposing forces of good and evil. Note: Grips like these are sometimes found on Bolo model Broomhandle Mausers. When found on the Mauser pistol they bring a premium price. The action works fine. Bore is very good with excellent rifling and some light pits. Grips are perfect. No chips no cracks. This revolver is double and single action. Revolver has a mostly even Blue/Brown patina.
