The approximately .75 caliber barrel is 55½" long. The barrel is octagonal for 18½" with a transition to round. It features a cannon muzzle. All metal has an even smooth brown patina. The full-length stock is fine with sharp edges and the expected worm holes. The lock has an “HK" hallmark. There are similar marks on the barrel. Our research indicates that these marks are from the Suhl area. The action functions properly. This gun also has a 2¾" sawtooth wall rest 16" from the muzzle. This is a great example of an early matchlock wall gun. You won’t encounter another one! SOLD Antique: Yes |
