Description:
This is a spectacular all-original High Standard Model 106 Military Supermatic Trophy .22 pistol in factory high-gloss blue complete with the original box, magazine, owner's manual, and box insert.  This beauty was manufactured in 1968 as the top-of-the-line High Standard .22 target pistol in this model line and has apparently spent the vast majority of it's life in storage.  This Supermatic Trophy model features a high-gloss blue factory finish (scarce), a push-button quick-release 7.25" inch fluted bull barrel factory drilled and tapped for weights, a factory adjustable trigger for weight and travel, hand-stippled front and rear grip straps, a gold finished trigger and safety, a color-case hardened magazine release, gold-filled lettering, and target sights with a bridged adjustable rear sight riding over the slide.  This Supermatic Trophy model quickly earned a reputation for supreme accuracy and superb build quality.  This particular example is serial number 1815673 and it remains in 100% original condition.  The high-gloss blue finish is bright and beautiful, rating 98% with the only deductions from some very minor handling marks.  The gold finish and fill also rates 98%, still bright and attractive.  The bore is in perfect condition, free from any pitting, erosion, or visible imperfections of any kind.  The rifling still looks brand new with sharp lands and grooves.  The factory target-style checkered Walnut grips are perfect, free from any wear, chips, cracks, repairs, or damage of any kind.  The checkering is still clean and crisp, and both grips are perfectly fit to the pistol.  The action on this High Standard is smooth, slick, and precise with a perfect fit between the frame and slide.  All of the controls are 100% in perfect working order, still crisp from lack of use.  This High Standard should function 100% as well today as the day it left the factory 52 years ago.  As mentioned earlier, it comes complete with the original box with an intact end-label serial-numbered to this gun, the owner's manual, the cardboard box insert, and the factory red-bottom 10-round magazine, all of which is in excellent condition.  If you have been looking for a top-end collectible .22 target pistol here is your chance to get one of the cleanest examples we haver seen in years of this type.  This High Standard should not only be an excellent long-term investment, but it can probably out-shoot anything made during it's day or made since!
