Description:
Smith & Wesson began production of the large N-frame in .44 Magnum in 1955. The Model 29 designation was added in 1957. The Model 29-2 was introduced in 1961 and ran until 1982 when cost-cutting eliminated the pinned barrel and countersunk chambers. .44 Remington Magnum
