Marlin Model 1894 Lever Action .38-40 caliber rifle. The 26" round barrel, marked “38-W", Has a fine bore with strong rifling and frosting in the grooves. The barrel has a smooth blue/brown patina. The receiver, magazine tube, nose cap, and tangs have a brown patina with scattered light pitting. The lever is brown with areas of light pitting. The stocks are good with added finish and no cracks or chips. The rifle has a half magazine and is equipped with sling swivels. The action functions correctly. The model 1894 should make a good shooter.
