Description:
This fine old 99 (1967) F Featherweight is in the most sought after combination: F in .308. This is a later gun employing some of the best of early and later features: very nice factory engine turned bolt showing almost no wear, with the better tang safety vs the earlier combersom lever safety. Most of the case color on the lever remains, the blue on barrel and receiver are in almost new conditon with little sign of handling or use. The walnut stock set has a few modest scratches and a little finish wear. The correct corregated steel butt plate has a little crud but should clean up very nicely. Hard to find F models n 308 esp near hunting seasons.
Unique to this gun is a set of Savage Rings ! It did not come with a scope but we have in stock many older perod correct US Made Weavers and Redfields that should go nicely with this gun.
Sling swivel studs have been removed for some reason but are easly replaced for a few dollars.
This gun does NOT have the characteristic crack at the upper tang found on so many 99's
