Description:
Originally a Rigby Falling Block using the Webley 1902 patent, this action was used to make a hand-detachable two barrel set in 1987. Barrels are Shilen-made and chambered in .375 and .300 H&H flanged magnum. The .300 barrel only uses a scope and the 7x Burris intermediate eye relief sits perfectly so the barrel can be unscrewed if necessary. That barrel also can use the Leupold VX-III 1.5-5x that can sit on the .375 barrel. The .375 barrel has iron sights.Both barrels can use a reflex sight. Both bores are in excellent condition.
In 2020 the action was polished and the engraving recut by the late Ellis Sawyer. Bill Schwarz did the case coloring. Kirt Kimsey did superb work on a new forend for the .375 barrel, the earlier work having been damaged during shipping to a hunt in Namibia.
The stock and forends are American walnut. Length of pull is 14-1/2 inches over the classic red rubber recoil pad. Drop at comb is 1-1/4 inches and at heel is 2-1/8 inches. The stock has no cast.
The rifle is cased in a leather motor case, organized to fit the two barrels and the Burris 7x IER scope.
Some brass, 3x fired, is available in .300 H&H flanged magnum and a used full length sizing die is also available.
