Description:
Incredible only begins to describe the fantastic original condition of this 1935 vintage Featherweight LC Smith. The photos tell the story. It retains ALL of its original brilliant case colors, not refinished. The barrels are 99% blue with no perceptible wear anywhere, just an infinitesimal handling mark here and there to keep it honest (yes I’ve hunted grouse with it). The wood is near perfect with an invisible repair at the wrist by a former G&H gunsmith (name on request); there is also a check in the forend behind the checkering that has not propagated any further. I specified that the rest of the stock not be refinished, only the repaired area.
This 16 is choked IM & F on its 28” barrels. LOP is 13-3/4 to the rare Hunter One single trigger. Automatic safety delete on this LC Smith. Twin beads, red and white decorate the barrels in this unusual configuration “Deluxe” field gun.
Letter from LC Smith Collector’s Association, Research Division included. The letter verifies the configuration as manufactured. This LC Smith was shipped to Tom Q. Zischang per Order No. 38924 on December, 28th 1935.
