Description:
Serial VA5727 Barrel 8", Caliber .41 Magnum. Made in 1980. One of the most elusive Pythons of all time, a modern myth so to speak. There may be a proto type out there but this is not it. Likely, any 41 Magunum to hit the market is the result of some slight of hand custom work as is this example. .41 magnum ctg is stamped on left side of barrel under an overly large blank spot that must have read .357 or .38 at one time. All other features are standard to included vent rib, target sight, full lug, blue finish, wide spur hammer and gold medallion straight line checkered walnut grips standar on early 3rd gen 2 letter series post 1980 Pythons. Aside from light drap line, gun appears unfired and in as new condition although it has certainly been reblued after alteration but well done and correct color with sharp legends and near mint grips, bore and action. Cylinder and barrel bored to .41 caliber. Cool conversation piece and one has to admit, would be fun to shoot a .41 magnum in the Python series. Comes in Colt walnut display case.
