Description:
A very nice 12 guage double barrel shotgun by Frederick Schoenemann of San Francisco, California. This gun has damascus barrels. The action is elaboratley engraved with animal scenes and floral scrolls. The butt plate is also engraved. The walnut stock is checkered at the wrist. The barrel rib is marked with inlaid silver " F.Schoenemann San Francisco" and there is a silver band at the breech. The upper tang has an inlaid gold or brass oval meant for the owners initials.
Condition-- All metal is a good honest uncleaned patina with some original blue. The walnut stock has never been sanded or refinished but has a few marks and small losses. Action operates perfectly and locks up tight. The bore is bright but shows radial machine marks.
