Description:
Winchesters Model of 1886 Special Order Sporting Rifle. This Rifle was ordered with a TakeDown feature, Rocky Mountain front Sight with a Brass Blade, provision for Cleaning Kit with Kit in Butt and Pistol Grip. The serial number of this example is 1030XX placing date of manufacture in 1895. Some genius cut four "Kill Marks" across the serial number. Overall condition is very good with 50% of the original untouched factory finish. The bore is very good with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate a 7 on a 1 to 10 scale with scattered pitting as expected. The TakeDown feature is mechanically perfect. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect.
