Description:
Price reduced. This is a clean, all original early Colt Model 1849 made in 1854. ALL numbers match, including the wedge, arbor, loading lever, cylinder and grip strap. There are traces of bluing on the barrel but the finish has turned mostly plumb. Most screws still show some fire blue finish. Grip strap and trigger guard display good amounts of silver plating. There is a hint of case color on the loading lever and hammer. Grips fit perfectly and show almost no handling marks; I would rate them at 95%.The bore on the 6" barrel is good. Action is strong. All in all a very nice piece of history that has survived almost 170 years in remarkable condition.
