When John Olin wanted to have title to the strongest side by side shotgun in the world, he went to work and got it done. The Model 21 is an American icon and its reputation is well deserved. A strikingly handsome gun with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure. IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN. Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of mechanical genius that was under the micro-management of John Olin himself. With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. This Model 21, sn3238 made in 1936, is a Standard Grade Field gun with hard to find 28” factory choked IC/F barrels making it the ultimate upland game gun that will fill in fine on the sporting clays course as well. I believe IC/F chokes are the ultimate pheasant chokes and the best for ducks over decoys. The barrels and action are both in very good, factory original condition, with the barrels having excellent bores as well. The wood on the gun is nicely figured and retains an excellent finish. The mechanics are excellent throughout.What an extraordinary gun for heavy loads on late season roosters, waterfowl, turkey, and long-range western birds. With RST Spreader loads this gun will shoot like an SK/M gun on the clays course. This is an unusual, useful, investment quality American icon in the double gun world.
