Description:
This is a combustible 5-cartridge pack for the .31 caliber Colt Model 1849 or Whitney revolver, dating from the Civil War era. The pack is unopened and undamaged with the wire opener still sealed inside the package. The pack was sold by a New York City sporting goods retailer, Alfred Woodham, and his store's stamp is prominent on the back panel of the pack. Measures 2" x 1 1/4" x 1/2".
