This is a Winchester Model 1892 in .44-40 Win. Carrying serial number 261097, this vintage lever action rifle is dated from 1904.
The Winchester 92’s original metal finish is about 20%, with receiver showing pitting on both sides. The 26″ barrel is a non-standard size. It has been relined at some point in the past, with an excellent job being done in the process. The bore is excellent and bright. Wood has handling marks but in very good condition.
