Description:
Superb condition Winchester Model 69 .22 S,L,LR caliber bolt action rimfire rifle. These early 69s had much more slender stocks and a very nice feel and balance to them, along with a quality top mounted receiver sight. The original and unique patent dated sheet metal front sight ramp is present with original hood, along with the original 5 shot magazine which has its 4 stamped lines complete with a "69". Overall condition is simply remarkable for a gun of this vintage, at least 97% showing only light handling in wood and some fine scratches on underside of barrel. There were no serial numbers issued to any of the 69s, but it is estimated that this rifle was produced in the late 30s. It wears a 25" barrel with an excellent bore and all mechanical functions seem perfect as well. Bolt handle attachment is rock solid.
This is an exceptional example which would be difficult to improve upon.
