U.S. Model 1884 “Trapdoor" Cadet .45-70 caliber rifle. The 29½" round .45-70 caliber barrel has a bright bore with some roughness toward the muzzle. All metal has a brown patina. The trigger guard and butt plate have light to moderate pitting The stock is good with issue dents and dings, especially at the butt. The cleaning rod is absent and the two sling swivels are present. The cartouche is visible but unreadable. The stacking swivel is absent. This is a second type model 1884 Cadet rifle. The action function correctly. Cadet rifles are getting hard to find.
