Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Description:
This is a nice bolt action hunting rifle made by Tikka of Finland. It is chambered for the classic 300 Winchester Magnum round and has a 3-round magazine. It has been fitted with a Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14x40mm scope, a matte stainless bipod, and a nylon sling. There is a rifle case which carries two attachable extensions for the bipod legs to allow shooting while sitting down. The gun is in very good condition. The bore has excellent rifling. Normally, when shooting a magnum rifle, it is wise to allow for time between the shots to let the barrel cool down. Firing repeatedly for long periods can eventually wear out the rifling in a barrel. The .300 Win Mag was originally introduced in 1963 as a development of the .338 Win Mag which arrived on the scene first in 1958. The .300 Win Mag is not simply a necked down .338, as it has a slightly longer body and shorter neck. The reason for this is that Norma had already necked down the .338 Win Mag to .308-caliber as the .308 Norma Magnum in 1960, preventing Winchester from taking the simple neck-it-down process that most manufactures use when making variations of their previous cartridge designs. In the end, the .300 Win Mag became the more popular cartridge and has been used all over the world for hunting. It has even been used in some military applications, mainly by snipers. This T3 would make an excellent long-range hunting rifle.
