FINE SHARPS U.S. MODEL 1863 WITH 1868 CONVERSION .50-70 GOVT. CAVALRY CARBINE. 22” barrel. Patent 1852 and 1859 Lawrence and Sharp’s patent dates on lock plate and frame. C20,xxx serial range and all original and matching. Much original blue on barrel and case hardening mixed with patina on lock. Fine screws with most of the blue finish. Wood with all the original finish with nice handling patina and crisp “DFC” cartouche. Working order and very good bore with good rifling. 100% original.
