WAR OF 1812 BRITISH TOWER GEORGE III FLINTLOCK SEA SERVICE PISTOL. All original complete example of the “Long” sea service used in Naval engagements in both the Napoleonic Wars and the American War of 1812. 12” smoothbore .55 cal. barrel with Ordnance proofs at the left breech. Excellent condition with fine “TOWER” and “CROWN/GR” stamps on lock as well as a crisp “CROWN/BROAD ARROW” Royal Ordnance acceptance proof beneath the pan. Crisp metal with light patina and excellent stock with the original finish and near mint “CROWN/GR” Storekeeper’s cartouche. Original ramrod and original belt hook with nice Royal Crown inspection stamp. Lock in working order and excellent bore. Very superior example.
