VERY RARE REMINGTON EGYPTIAN MILITARY CONTRACT SINGLE ACTION .44 CF CAL. MODEL 1875 REVOLVER CA. 1874-5. All original and complete and matching in fine to excellent condition. Less than 500 made and all inspected on the left side of the barrel and frame “*/R” and on the left grip with an “FR” inspector’s cartouche. 40-50% original blue on the barrel, cylinder and trigger guard. Crisp barrel address. Frame now a deep grey patina. Hammer with most of the original bright color case hardening. Grips with the original finish and a good visible cartouche. Original lanyard ring with about half the blue. Fine bore and working order. These were never delivered due to non payment and are believed sold on the civilian market and possibly also to the U.S. Department of the Interior for Indian Police use.
