RARE EARLY CIVIL WAR REMINGTON U.S. MODEL 1861 TRANSITION .44 CAL. PERC. REVOLVER CA. 1862. Standard U.S. Cavalry issue and all original and matching in the 10,xxx range. Transition model between the 1861 model and the New Model with features of both and having the early high hammer and nickel cone front sight. Excellent overall with 75% plus blue and has most of the case colors on the hammer. Superb grips in excellent original condition with all the original finish and a mint cartouche. Excellent bore and perfect working order. Most often seen in heavily used condition this is really nice example.
