Winchesters Model of 1886 Sporting Rifle .40/65wcf. 1/2 Round Barrel. The serial number of this example is 195XX placing date of manufacture in 1888. Overall condition is very good with the Case Hardened receiver silvered out with no Case Colors observed. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. The Barrel and Magazine have retained approx. 30% of patina finish. The bore is very good with strong rifling. The bore will rate an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. Wood to metal fit is perfect with the normal hunting hits and storage dings. Rare rifle in .40/65wcf with a full magazine 1/2 round Barrel!
