#4818 Winchester 1892 OBFMCB 38WCF (38/40) with smooth tight action and VG bore. Serial range is 25XXX which dates it to 1894 and thus being in the antique range and no FFL requirements. Fine metal with an even plum brown patina on smooth metal and no serious deficits or damage. VG+ wood that also has no serious blems, cracks, or damage. Standard trigger and standard Winchester “sporting sights” (buckhorn rear and pinched blade front). As serious shooters know, the 38WCF round has slightly better ballistics than the 44WCF in that it shoots a slightly lighter bullet but contains the same powder charge, so the drop is a little less at the longer yardages. Nothing great or fancy here, but just an above average early 128 year old Model ’92. VG+ s described. $1450
