First MOD 1894 with 10 o'clock screw are scarce with only about 5,000 receivers made that way, the screw holding the cartridge guides in the receiver from the outside. Nice Gun in take down configuration is very rare.traces of case on the lever and hammer with fire blue loading gate. Wood is very clean and tight to the metal with original varnish. Bore has excellent rifling "note chip at the top left hand side of the butt plate" The first model 1894 is among the most sought after for the serious 94 collector Comes with Cody Letter - Antique - no FFL required MFG 1895
